Our client is an international pharmaceutical organisation active in Human Pharma, operating in a highly regulated, science-driven and stakeholder-rich healthcare environment. The organisation works across Belgium and Luxembourg and focuses on ensuring that patients, healthcare systems and relevant stakeholders can access innovative pharmaceutical solutions in a responsible, compliant and sustainable way.

Within this context, the company is looking for a senior Head of Market Access & Public Affairs. This is a broad leadership position at the intersection of market access, public affairs, healthcare policy, pricing, reimbursement, stakeholder management and internal strategic decision-making. The role is designed for someone who understands the pharmaceutical ecosystem in depth and who can connect scientific, economic, regulatory, political and business realities into one coherent strategy.

Vacancy information

As Head of Market Access & Public Affairs, you will lead the local strategy and execution for Belgium and Luxembourg across several key domains: Market Access, Healthcare Affairs, Patient Engagement, Public Affairs and Government Affairs. You will act as a strategic advisor to senior internal leadership and will help shape decisions related to access, pricing, reimbursement, tendering, contracting, stock management and stakeholder engagement.

You will be responsible for translating changes in the healthcare and political environment into clear business actions. This means monitoring healthcare policy, reimbursement dynamics, competitive moves and stakeholder priorities, and converting these insights into practical recommendations for leadership teams, therapeutic area teams and international colleagues.

This is not a purely advisory position. You will also be accountable for execution. You will ensure that local plans are built, approved, implemented and monitored in line with therapeutic area strategies, international priorities and local business needs. You will lead a team, coordinate cross-functional collaboration and make sure that the organisation has the right stakeholder plans, action plans, market access plans and public affairs activities in place.
