At Novellas Healthcare, a recruitment partner specialising in life sciences, we connect professionals with career opportunities that match their expertise and ambitions. We provide personal guidance throughout the recruitment journey, from the first introduction to a successful start with a new employer.

For an international pharmaceutical company offering a specialised portfolio of essential medicines and solutions for hospital care, we are looking for a driven Key Account Manager. The portfolio includes products used in anaesthesia, intensive care, resuscitation and pain management. Quality, patient safety and collaboration with healthcare professionals are at the heart of the organisation.

Vacancy information

As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for commercial development and management of the product portfolio across all hospitals in your territory: Antwerp (from the Kennedy Tunnel), the Kempen area, Limburg and Flemish Brabant.

You will build lasting professional relationships with anaesthesiologists, intensive care physicians and hospital pharmacists. You will understand their needs and translate them into relevant, scientifically grounded product information and solutions. You will manage your territory independently while working closely with the Sales Manager to achieve commercial objectives.

Requirements information

  • Develop and implement strategic account plans for hospitals across your territory.
  •  Build relationships with anaesthesiologists, intensive care physicians and hospital pharmacists, while maintaining contact with other relevant stakeholders.
  • Present the product portfolio convincingly, accurately and with a strong scientific foundation, organising product demonstrations where appropriate.
  • Identify commercial opportunities, grow existing accounts and establish new customer relationships.
  • Support pricing proposals, commercial negotiations and agreements within agreed guidelines.
  •  Analyse sales results, market developments and competitor activity, translating insights into targeted action plans.
  • Participate in scientific meetings and ensure thorough follow-up of customers and commercial activities.

Your professional selfie

  • You have relevant commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in hospital sales or key account management.
  •  You are familiar with the hospital environment and understand how medical and pharmacy stakeholders collaborate and make decisions.
  • Knowledge of or an interest in anaesthesia, intensive care, emergency medicine, pain management or hospital medicines is a strong advantage.
  •  You combine strategic thinking with a pragmatic, results-driven approach and take full ownership of your territory.
  •  You communicate clearly and professionally, including when discussing technical or scientific product information.
  •  You have an excellent command of Dutch; professional proficiency in English is an asset.
  • You are willing to travel regularly to hospitals throughout your territory.
