We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our client’s team as a Director of Market Access in Belux. As the Enterprise Leader and Head of the Patient and Health Impact department, you will be responsible for leading Market Access Teams and the Value and Evidence team.

Your primary responsibility will be to secure timely access to innovative healthcare products for patients by obtaining and maintaining pricing and reimbursement approvals for the company's innovations at the right value. To achieve this, you will need to leverage your scientific, financial, commercial, and negotiation expertise to develop effective access strategies and implementation plans that contribute to ensuring that the company meets its strategic business goals and financial objectives.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining trustful relationships with external decision makers, presenting the company, its position, and its value to patients. You will also be a member of the Country Leadership Team and Country Business Team, reporting directly to the Country Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure enterprise leadership by leading the Patient and Health Impact department, growing colleagues, and securing continuous improvement of the division's performance and processes.
  • Develop cross-functional access strategies for all products, from pipeline products to launch products and already launched products based on strategic Global Pricing and Access plans.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of the access area locally and globally as one unified company, considering the requirements of the payers and health system and the priorities of the company's portfolio.
  • Develop future-oriented solutions to shape the healthcare environment to secure access to the company's innovations through communication and relationship management with external stakeholders and decision-makers at the highest level.
  • Lead negotiations for Value-based Managed Entry Agreements with payers.
  • Collaborate and represent the company's position in industry associations, committees, and working groups.

Requirements information

  • A degree in economics, sciences, or health management 
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all access and policy relevant processes, procedures, and stakeholders in Belgium and Luxembourg.
  • Leadership experience and experience working with cross-functional teams in a global company.
  • Business acumen, including P&L management.
