For a family-owned pharmaceutical company dedicated to the development, manufacture and marketing of injectable pharmaceutical specialties used in hospitals we are recruiting a Key Account Manager for the South region of The Netherlands.

  • Develop and follow account plans 
  • Management of the customer portfolio to optimize the profitability of your sector
  • Under strict compliance with the ethics code, make contact with prospects and customers through referrals, telephone calls, face to face meetings, email, and networking
  • If necessary, organize product demonstrations
  • Regularly analyse the business and results on the territory and adjust action plans accordingly
  • Negotiations of the final price within the limit of the framework set by the management
  • Support with responses to calls for tender
  • Competitive intelligence and product marketing
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Respond to requests of existing customers and prospects
  • Inform healthcare professionals about the product range
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product/scientific knowledge in particular in the field of pre-filled syringes, anaesthesia, resuscitation and critical care
  • Attend exhibitions, scientific congress or internal business meetings when requested
  • Market intelligence gathering on relevant products and competitor activity
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes, Health and Safety procedures, GDP, Anti-bribery policy

Requirements information

  • Sales experience in hospitals
  • Experience in managing key accounts
  • Network in Anaesthesia and/or OR is a plus 
  • Strategic and operational skills
  • Strong relational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Driven, with much perseverance; hunter (no farmer)
  • Strong in negotiation
  • Autonomous, enterprising and result-oriented
  • Well organized and focused
  • Experience with launching new products is an asset
  • At least a bachelor degree in (para)-medical sciences
  • Dutch native and good knowledge of English
