The HR Officer delivers comprehensive and prompt personnel services to uphold employee well-being and motivation, fostering the company's growth. They assist the HR Director and team in executing HR operational initiatives, ensuring smooth departmental operations through effective tool and process management.

The funtion is parttime:

Payroll

  • Responsible for preparing, verifying, and validating the monthly payroll process.
  • Ensuring accuracy of employee data and timely transmission to the external payroll provider to uphold payroll cycle quality.

Time & Attendance

  • Offers process expertise and identifies areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains a shared understanding of policies and legislative updates.

Workforce admin

  • Promotes the efficient and effective delivery of specific processes (e.g., contract administration, data administration) by addressing complex inquiries that necessitate specialized HR knowledge and/or a higher level of policy interpretation.
  • Addresses general inquiries and provides policy explanations throughout the employee lifecycle, from hiring to retirement.

Recruitment

  • Manages onboarding activities, including executing, tracking, and entering pre-employment tasks and documents.
  • Keeps abreast of country regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Offers assistance in preparing and delivering offer/contract information.

Reporting

  • Generates both ad hoc and standard reports.
  • Delivers timely, accurate, and insightful responses to complex reporting inquiries from employees, workers councils, and managers.

Learning & development

  • Develops and updates training activities across relevant platforms and applications.
  • Ensures data availability for internal and external audits, as well as government requirements in Belgium.
  • Advises and resolves HR-related inquiries with a focus on learning administration, including trainer and location management, participant coordination, certification management, and billing.
  • Selects training suppliers and generates Purchase Orders for trainers and locations.

Requirements information

Education/Professional Experience

  • Human Resources HBO
  • >2y experience at an HR department

Necessary skills and attitude

  • Excellent written and spoken Dutch and English skills, French is an asset
  • IT literacy : Outlook, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, SAP,…
  • Relevant knowledge and updates of Social and/or Labour Law
  • Affinity with HR processes and relevant applications.
