Our client is a pharmaceutical company focused on developing and marketing innovative medical solutions, primarily in dermatology. They aim to improve the quality of life for patients with skin conditions through research-driven therapies and a commitment to advancing healthcare.

For this company we are seeking a motivated and driven Hospital Representative Dermatology  to take full ownership of the business plan and sales performance across hospitals in East and West Flanders

In this role, you will be responsible for building strong advocacy and consensus around our company’s brands among key opinion leaders and decision-makers. Your goal will be to leverage these relationships to capitalize on business opportunities identified in the territory plan, ultimately driving growth for the company.

As a Specialty Sales Representative, you will work closely with dermatologists, both in hospitals and private practices, to develop and manage existing and future business opportunities. You will also engage with key opinion leaders and decision-makers to foster long-term partnerships, establishing trust and credibility.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the launch of a new biologic in dermatology, while simultaneously promoting another biologic for a different indication, targeting the same specialist group.
  • Achieve sales targets and ensure consistent coverage and frequency in the assigned territory.
  • Conduct medical visits to specialists, sharing detailed product knowledge and promoting the company’s products and services to a defined customer base within the designated geographic area.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key opinion leaders, both locally and nationally, to influence prescribing policies and protocols.
  • Utilize in-depth product and therapeutic knowledge to advocate for the appropriate use of the products among healthcare professionals.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Medical Science Liaisons and Marketing, on cross-functional projects related to specific accounts or physicians.
  • Develop and execute a business plan for the territory, set targets, and monitor progress with actionable insights from sales analysis. Oversee the territory budget, including customer contacts, events, and other external expenditures.
  • Create and implement strategic initiatives to generate new business opportunities and build key accounts.
  • Collaborate with external partners to co-promote products and services effectively.
  • Represent the company at professional events, promoting their products and services.

Requirements information

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor´s degree or diploma in Health Sciences, Business, Economics or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 5 yrs. working experience as a specialty rep towards specialists
  • Experience in dermatology is a plus

Specific Knowledge:

  • Highly self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work autonomously and independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with proven expertise in influencing and negotiating.
  • Able to credibly engage in scientific discussions about complex products with Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Recognized as an expert in both sales and the relevant therapeutic area within the internal team.
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Capable of identifying complex issues and opportunities, and effectively presenting solutions to marketing and sales management.
  • Strong business acumen, with a clear understanding of both external business drivers and internal operations.
  • Proficient in using IMS data, CRM systems, and Microsoft Windows platforms.
  • Experienced in all aspects of brand strategy planning and implementation, including budget management.
