Our client is an international family-owned company with a strong focus on innovative therapies for rare diseases.

Within one of its divisions, the company is currently launching a new therapy for Fabry disease, an inherited metabolic disorder that significantly impacts the heart, kidneys, and nervous system.

To raise awareness around this condition and strengthen relationships with Belgian specialists, we are looking for a freelance Key Account Manager with a medical affinity and strong commercial drive.

🔮 Your Future Role

As Key Account Manager Rare Diseases, you will be the company’s face in the field.

You will map the Belgian Fabry market, establish connections with metabolic centers, nephrologists, cardiologists, and specialized nurses, and ensure that the client is recognized as a reliable partner within this niche therapy area.

You’ll work closely with the Medical Advisor Benelux, who will support you during medical staff meetings, presentations, and scientific discussions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and visit physicians and nurses involved in the treatment of Fabry disease.
  • Map Belgian centers for inherited metabolic disorders and peripheral hospitals.
  • Present the product portfolio and scientific background information.
  • Organize awareness events and staff meetings in collaboration with the medical team.
  • Report insights, market intelligence, and field activities.

Requirements information

🤳 Your Profile

  • Fully bilingual (Dutch/French).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital or specialty sales.
  • Knowledge of metabolic, nephrological, or rare diseases is an asset.
  • Hands-on, independent, and strong communicator.
  • Available for a 6-month freelance assignment (possible extension).
  • Willing to travel regularly across Wallonia.
