Who is Novellas Healthcare?

Novellas Healthcare is a services provider for the healthcare industry and is specialised in healthcare recruitment. Our mission? Linking the perfect candidate to the right job. Furthermore, we provide training and coaching to employees active in the healthcare industries. Besides, we guide long-term patients through their prescribed therapy thanks to our patient programs.

The process leading up to the establishment of Novellas Healthcare has been exciting, intense and fascinating. Our company is the result of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, of continuously anticipating market needs and ready-to-use solutions.



History of Novellas Healthcare

2015 International Growth

More and more Novellas Healthcare delivers staffing services towards clients in the life sciences industry in the Benelux and the EMEA region.

We have a team of 10 experienced recruitment consultants. Most of them have a first career in the healthcare industry.  They are located in Belgium (our Headquarter), in London and in Basel. This international presence is an asset to develop our international network of candidates.

2012 Novellas Healthcare

2012: foundation of the holding company & international expansion

June 2012, the holding company Novellas Healthcare is officially founded. The old names will systematically disappear and will gradually make room for our 4 Business Units, being:

  1. Permanent staffing solutions
  2. Flexible staffing solutions
  3. Patient programs
  4. Training & coaching

Shortly after the foundation of our holding company, we acquired the UK based healthcare recruitment company Eames, Jones, Judge Hawkings (EJJH) (July 2012). It’s the first step in our company’s internationalisation that is aiming to be present in all the important healthcare markets. 

2009 The clinical college – Training & Coaching

Novellas Healthcare aims at matching competent professionals and  organisations in the healthcare industry. Therefore, we develop a series of specific courses for our co-workers, allowing the Dedevan and “The International Nurse Company” professionals to benefit from a continuous education. They are thus at all times up-to-date with the latest developments within their sector.

Since we are a healthcare services provider, we also offer these training & coaching programs to our clients. They can appeal to our courses to stimulate their employees’ personal and team growth.

2008 The International Nurse Company – Outsourcing nurses & Patient programs

As a healthcare services provider, we keep expanding our services & solutions. In order to improve and accelerate the inclusion of patients in clinical studies, our specalised nurses are now outsourced to hospitals.

Furthermore, our patient programs raise the patients’ awareness concerning the importance of following their treatment correctly and coach them in managing their health. These programs all occur in collaboration with the attending doctor.  

2005 Dedevan – Clinical Outsourcing

Dedevan offers a solution to the shortage of specialised professionals who support clinical trials. Its mission? Introduce new talent into the market thanks to our innovative ‘Junior CRA’ concept. Young, highly educated profiles are recruited and trained in clinical research. After an internship in a healthcare company, they are offered a job as an outsourcing consultant.

Dedevan becomes one of the market leaders in outsourcing clinical profiles. The ‘Junior CRAs’ follow a personal development plan. Meanwhile, the concept has been expanded to management positions in clinical research, international profiles, regulatory affairs specialists, quality control... 

2002 Denewet, Decat & Saelen – Recruitment & Selection

Denewet, Decat & Saelen is established. They initially focus on the recruitment and selection of commercial profiles in the pharmaceutical industry and medical device companies.

Soon the recruitment activities expand to all possible functions within the healthcare industry, to positions in middle and top management and to the entire healthcare sector.
